Church of Ss. Peter & Paul Dedication & Consecration 1914-’16

The Church of Ss. Peter & Paul in Straide had its foundation stone laid on the eve of the Feast Day of Ss. Peter & Paul (i.e. on Sunday, June 28th) in 1914. The dedication was performed by Bishop Morrisroe in the presence of over 5,000 people.

The consecration of the newly completed Church took place on Sunday, August 27th 1916. Again, the Consecration was performed by Bishop Morrisroe.
