Death of Martin Sweeney R.I.P.
It is with regret that we share the news of the death of Martin Sweeney R.I.P. His remains will arrive to Straide Church on Thursday at 6 pm, with his funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon. Both occasions are private to family only but can be viewed on www.straideparish.com. May he Rest In Peace.

I remember Martin when I lived in Concunlon, I was only a kid. Martin used to deliver the post wearing his postman’s uniform riding a bicycle. One day to our surprise he turned up in a mini car. Funny thing about him driving the car was he never got out of first gear. No idea how he managed to turn around.
Lovely service today. I am sure if it wasn’t for the virus the church would have been packed.
