[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]V. Rev. Dermot Burns, Pastor Emeritus, Straide, Co. Mayo died on March 29th 2017 after a brave battle with illness. His Concelebrated Requiem Mass took place on Saturday, April 1st at 2.00pm with Bishop Brendan Kelly as Chief Celebrant.

The funeral homily was delivered by his successor as Parish Priest of Straide – Fr. Martin Convey. After Mass, Fr. Dermot was laid to rest in the Church grounds.

May he now Rest in Peace.
