St. Brigid’s Day 2019
St. Brigid’s Day, February 1, marks the start of Celtic spring. The Celtic festival of Imbolc, on February 1, celebrates the arrival of longer, warmer days and the early signs of spring. It is one of the four major “fire” festivals referred to in Irish mythology. Happy St. Brigid’s Day to all and roll on Spring & Summer.
Those who make St. Brigid’s Crosses at home can bring them to Church to have them blessed either on the day or at either weekend before or after the Feast Day.
