A very fine and fitting memorial to Straide’s War Dead has been erected at the entrance to the Old Cemetery (opposite the Abbey). Sincere thanks to all involved in this very significant project. The memorial was blessed after the 11.00 am Mass on Sunday, November 13th (Remembrance Sunday). Fr. Martin was assisted by Rev. Andrea Wills. Members of the Church of Ireland Community were also present.
